Texas Hold 'Em Poker is the most common poker game.  You are dealt two cards that no one else can see and together with the 5 cards dealt out in the middle of the table you have to bet that you have the best hand of 5 cards, or fold (throw your cards away).

There are plenty of tutorials, it is best to play for fun first before you gamble for real.

Remember not to over do gambling.  Only gamble with what you can afford to lose.
