Spain or the "Kingdom of Spain" is in Europe near the Mediterranean Sea, bordered by Portugal to the West and Gibraltar, France and Andorra to the North East.  Spain also includes the Canary Islands, the Baleariac Islands in the Mediterranean and two cities in Africa. 

"The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain."  In actual fact it doesn't rain that much in Spain hence many people from the UK choose to move there in their retirement.  Also Spain is the top third choice in Europe for tourists.  Much more than just beaches to offer, Spain is a large country with lots to offer from snowy mountains in the North, to lush fields to barren deserts in the South.  Madrid (the capital) and Barcelona are popular cities to visit and explore.

The currency in Spain has been Euros since 2002.
