"The Union Jack"

The United Kingdom or Great Britain, consists of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  Located in the continent of Europe.  Many people come to Britain for a better quality of life.  However the weather is normally a part of conversation usually because it is often cold and rains a lot.

The U.K. has a monarchy, currently Queen Elizabeth the Second is the ruling monarch.

The currency is GBP Sterling (£), which used to be a pretty strong currency, but the recent "credit crunch" changed all that (2010).

Come visit where William Shakespeare was born, see the sights of London (the streets aren't paved of Gold - contrary to the Tales of Dick Whiittington).

In the 19th Century Great Britain was the leading maritime and industrial power.  At it's peak the British Empire covered a quarter of the world's surface.
